With the King’s Coronation just around the corner, the UK’s number one royal superfan, Anita Atkinson, has given her royalist seal of approval to supermarket Aldi as it launches a brand-new Coronation range, with prices starting from just 95p.

Anita, 66, is the proud owner of 13,500 pieces of royal memorabilia, the largest collection in the UK, dating back to the reign of Queen Anne. She has collected her beloved items for over 46 years and has already been busy adding to her huge collection in the form of King Charles memorabilia ahead of the big day.

Equipped with her royal, golden stamp and surrounded by her impressive collection, Anita got to work testing out and giving her seal of approval on Aldi’s new range. She explained:

“Having collected royal memorabilia for almost half a century, I’ve tested my fair share of monarchy-themed products! I love Aldi’s range in honour of the King’s Coronation – there’s something for everyone and it’s definitely worthy of my seal of approval.

“The Breaded Chicken Crowns were a particular favourite of mine, and I’ve never had a Coronation Chicken Pizza before, but it was delicious! The cupcakes and biscuits will make the perfect sweet treats to celebrate the Coronation, especially paired with a cuppa.

“Obviously, I had to taste Aldi’s quiches after King Charles has personally chosen the recipe for the Coronation Quiche and it surely was fit for a King. Speaking of kings – I’ve even added Aldi’s iconic King and Queen of vegetables to my collection!”

Aldi’s new Coronation range has been deemed fit for a king by Anita’s royal standards and consists of a host of delicious food and drinks, perfect for impressing the neighbours at bank holiday street parties.

From a Coronation Chicken Pizza and Coronation Sandwiches and Union Jack Cakes, to refreshing British Strawberry Gin and Coronation Beers, there is something for everyone, royal or not, to celebrate.

There’s even a surprise guest in the form of the nation’s favourite carrot – Coronation Soft Toys are here to join in the celebrations.
