Shoppers have been left asking questions after Aldi teased its Christmas advert, but Kevin the Carrot is nowhere to be seen.
Instead, all the adverts which have appeared on the supermarket’s social media channels and on billboards across the UK feature a fairy-like ‘Christmas Spirit’.
But people have been left baffled as less than 24 hours after the adverts first appeared they have been replaced with new ones, suggesting the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ has been taken:
The retailer has released spoof CCTV type footage on its social media channels showing humbug characters apparently stealing the Spirit of Christmas. Shoppers think it’s a big hint at what’s to come in the Christmas advert:
One said: “Where’s Kevin when you need him!?”
While another said: “We need Kevin! 🥕”
Shoppers can only hope Aldi hasn’t said bah-humbug to Kevin the Carrot and he’ll back in the supermarket’s much-anticipated Christmas advert, which is expected to launch next week.
