IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR ALDI LAUNCHES CHRISTMAS SANDWICH RANGE, INCLUDING VEGAN FEAST

The mornings are getting darker, the nights are drawing in and the temperatures are dropping, so thoughts of course turn to…. Christmas!

As the most wonderful time of the year nears and the same old dull lunches simply won’t cut it any more, Aldi is here to make lunches merry and bright with its festive food to go range, including six delectable and delicious Christmas sandwiches and wraps, available in stores from 1^st November.

Having sold a record number of sandwiches in the lead up to Christmas last year, Aldi is returning five festive favourites and is adding a Plant Menu Vegan Feast Sandwich (£1.69)to the range.

The perfect plant-based festive feast on the go, the Plant Menu Vegan Feast Sandwich is set to be a crowd pleaser for both vegans and non-vegans alike. Between two tasty cranberry and poppy seed bread slices lies a sweet yet savoury parsnip fritter with shredded apple, crispy sliced cabbage and juicy sultanas. This delectable centre is topped with crispy fried onions, fresh spinach leaves and a spoonful of Aldi’s favourite cranberry chutney.

For a twist on your Christmas meal, Aldi’s Specially Selected Turkey with Pigs Under Blankets (£2.29)is a symphony of flavours. Filled to burst with layers of delicate butter-basted turkey, smoked bacon and Lincolnshire sausages, topped with a festive spiced pork, sage and onion stuffing and crowned with a layer of cranberry and port sauce it’ll certainly be sure to hit the sweet (and savoury) spot.

Traditional Christmas sandwich lovers will be sure to jingle all the way into Aldi stores from November, with the return of the  Turkey Feast Sandwich (£1.69).The incomporable combination of succulent turkey, gently smoked bacon, classic sage and onion stuffing slices and a slather of the sweet yet tart cranberry chutney, will have all mouths watering this Christmas.

Also returning this year, Aldi’s Hog Roast Sandwich (£1.79) is the perfect choice for the hungry reveller on the go. Filled with roasted pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, tangy apple sauce, seasoned mayonnaise and topped with fried onions, this sandwich is a taste and texture ex plosion.

Back by popular demand, the Turkey and Trimmings wrap (£1.69), is bursting with juicy butter-basted turkey, smokey bacon, gently spiced stuffing and fried onions and finished with a dab of mayonnaise and a dollop of rich port chutney – this will certain melt any Scrooge’s heart.

Feeling a bit cheesy? Aldi’s Brie and Cranberry sandwich (£1.69) is just the ticket for your Christmas lunch. A fan favourite, the decadent marriage of creamy brie with a gently spiced cranberry, ginger and orange chutney would put a smile on even the grinches face this Christmas.
