SPOTTED: TAYLOR ENTERS HER ALDI ERA WITH SWIFT MOVES ON THE TILLS

Shoppers at Aldi’s Ancoats store in Manchester were left enchanted when they encountered what looked like a number of Taylor Swifts on shift behind the tills.

With the MTV EMAs taking place in the brand-new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester and Taylor leading the nominations, speculation about her presence in the city is high.

Savvy Swifties however knew all too well that all was not as it seemed as multiple versions of the singer scanned shopping in style, each dressed to represent a different iconic era.

One TikTok user said: “I just saw Taylor Swift in Aldi. Ok I just saw twelve Taylor Swift lookalikes in Aldi. What is going on? Is this an Easter Egg?”

While another shared a story asking: “Is Taylor Swift now working in Aldi?”

Jemma Townsend, Marketing Director at Aldi UK, said: “Our new recruits worked a swift shift, keeping the checkout queues moving faster than Taylor Swift’s ticket sales. We had the best day celebrating the EMAs with our colleagues and congratulate all the winners, especially Taylor Swift.”

This isn’t the first time the supermarket has garnered national attention for its calibre of in-store attendees. Social media was sent into a frenzy earlier last year when a Kate Moss look-a-like was spotted shopping in Manchester, coinciding with the supermodel’s visit for the Chanel fashion show.
