12 January, 2024- YouGov’s latest polling data puts discounter ahead of Lidl and traditional Big Four supermarkets in the popularity stakes
Aldi has been named as the nation’s most popular supermarket, according to new polling data for Q4 2023 from YouGov.
In the poll, Aldi maintained its position at the top, ranking ahead of its traditional Big Four rivals, as well as M&S and fellow discounter Lidl.

Consumer group Which? has named Aldi the Cheapest Supermarket of the Year for 2023, after conducting its annual price comparison of UK supermarkets. Aldi was also named the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket of the Month for December.

ALDI LAUNCHES NEW COOKBOOK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TEAM GB AND PARALYMPICSGB
2 January, 2024Aldi has launched a new cookbook in partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, which is available in stores from today.
The cookbook, called ‘Eat like a Champion’, includes 80 recipes that have been inspired by athletes and nutritionists such as Paula Radcliffe and Laura and Jason Kenny from Team GB and ParalympicsGB.
All of the proceeds from the cookbook will be donated to charity, with a portion going to the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association, while the remaining profits will go towards supporting Aldi’s dedicated charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.
