ALDI REPORTS RECORD SALES ON HEATWAVE PRODUCTS AS TEMPERATURES SOAR 

• Aldi predicts that over 2.5 million burgers will fly off its shelves this weekend 
• The supermarket sees biggest EVER sales day of ice cream, with a sales uplift of more than 150% 

Supermarket Aldi has revealed just what Brits are after to help them cope with the heat. Fans, rosé wine, ice creams, and Aperini are all high on the agenda with Aldi shoppers. On Monday 11^th July the supermarket saw its biggest EVER sales of ice creams in a day, with an uplift of more than 150% compared to the same week last year. 

It’s not just sweet treats that Brits are buying in bulk, tasty tipples are also proving to be popular. Last weekend (8^th – 10^th July) Aldi sold more rosé wine than any other weekend over the last 12 months. The cult favourite Aperini has also seen an increase in sales making it the second highest sales week for the product this year after the Jubilee weekend*.  

Aldi also predicts that it will sell over 2.5 million burgers this coming weekend (16^th-17^th July).  

With the mercury set to soar to a staggering 38 degrees, the nation is preparing for sweltering days and sticky nights, seeing electric fans, paddling pools and deodorant sales reaching record heights.
